I am deeply committed to creating a counselling space filled with care, kindness and understanding. My hope is to offer a space where you feel truly seen and heard, where you can bring your whole self and not just fragments of it into our sessions. I strive to foster a sense of safety and connection, where you can slow down, share your story and know that you are accepted and have support that is stable and genuine.
I believe counselling should be a collaborative process. My goal is to work with you on whatever matters most to you. Change, in my view, is not an event but a process–a practice of care that requires patience, softness and compassion. I understand that reflecting on painful experiences often means navigating complexities and holding space for multiple truths. I aim to be a supportive presence, providing opportunities to reflect and draw upon your own expertise and strengths to move towards change that feels empowering and sustainable.
I am a registered social worker and have my masters of social work, with a specialization of gender and women studies. I am passionate about working with trans, queer, polyamorous and neurodiverse communities and also have experience in providing substance use counselling and grief support. My practice is grounded in principles of feminism, harm reduction, social justice, and anti-oppressive frameworks. These values guide me in fostering inclusive, affirming spaces and addressing personal and systemic challenges that impact your wellbeing. I take an eclectic, informal and relational approach to counselling, tailoring my practice to meet the needs of each individual in a way that resonates with them.
